It should come as no surprise that I love Vergil, and the Aeneid is probably my favourite Latin text of all time. This was the text that made me fall in love with Latin as a Year 8 student when my teacher read the last lines of book 4 in class. Having studied excerpts for A Level, AP and iGCSE, I can say with some confidence that it would take a lot for me to get bored of this epic. In order to keep my Latin from getting rusty, I have decided that I will try to work on a few lines of the Aeneid a day and hopefully slowly work through the whole thing.
For these posts, I will be putting up 50 lines at a time, with grammar squiggles, interlinear, scansion and a translation.
